Hardwood Specialties is located in Morristown, Tennessee and is part of a group of family owned, Lakeway Area businesses, which consist of two sawmills, hardwood flooring plant, a wood component plant, and a retail outlet.
We also offer installation, financing, and free estimates. Our focus is on quality, affordable products and timely, accurate service.

Our Team
Angie McCoige, Manager
When designing your home, you have dreams to make your space fit your life. Angie has been with Hardwood Specialties since 2011 and can help you talk through solutions to solve all your problems while designing a beautiful space. She may even help you think through where to store Christmas decorations or install those needed outlets since she loves Christmas so much herself! Angie and her husband, Chad, have four children: Erica, Courtney, Cole, and Katie whom they are proud to raise here in their hometown. On the weekends, Angie runs, as she participates in a couple 5K races each year, and her family attends Manley Baptist Church.
Chad McCoige, Outside Sales
After seeing how his wife Angie enjoyed her work at Hardwood Specialties, Chad came to join the team. He says a big part of his job is learning as building technology is constantly changing. Integrating new products and methods provides him great satisfaction for each completed project. Chad is passionate about improving the Lakeway community as you can see by how he spends his time. He’s the Chairman of the Hamblen County Health Council, on the Senior Citizen Center board, a founding member of Walk Across Hamblen/Healthy Hamblen, a member of the Regional Health Council, on the Parks and Recreation board, and founded the Lakeway Amputee Support Group.
Sabrina Cagle, Showroom Designer
With 30 years of experience in home improvement, Sabrina is a great asset to the team. She previously worked with Angie and Tracy and feels like she has come home. When a design challenge presents itself, Sabrina works with the team to brainstorm different products and applications to ensure the client receives the best solution. If you ever catch Sabrina daydreaming, she’s probably imagining her and her husband Johnny sitting on the beaches of Grand Turk, her favorite vacation spot. Sabrina and Johnny live in Russellville in her family’s 1932 homeplace. Their son Jake is married and has two daughters.
Phil Wisehart, Delivery
Hardwood Specialties has another married couple as part of the team. Phil’s wife is Patti, the office manager! As a delivery man, Phil feels like he has a role similar to Santa Claus as he gets to bring people new “stuff”. He enjoys getting to meet new customers and see the progress on their projects. In addition to sharing sports stories of his children, Phil loves to talk about his beloved Indiana Hoosier basketball team and the Dallas Cowboys. In between sports seasons, Phil has been hiking sections of the Appalachian Trail with a final goal to hike the entire trail from Georgia to Maine when he gets a chance.
Patti Wisehart, Office Manager
Every office needs the office manager that keeps it running smoothly. Patti is exactly that for Hardwood Specialities. That said, she thinks the dress code is blue and Maize in the fall as she is a Michigan transplant and a University of Michigan fan. Patti and her husband Phil have six children: Megan (Ross), Sydney, Ryan, Rachel, Megan, and Lindsey. She is their biggest fan and can tell you all about their sports accomplishments. Their family loves spending time outdoors in the summer with their paddleboard and kayak business: Lakeway H2O. If you see Patti while at Hardwood Specialities ask her about her growing list of pets!
Tracy Cowan, Cabinet Designer
When you love your job, time flies. Tracy joined the Hardwood Specialties team in 2012. She enjoys working with the team and helping customers’ design visions come to life. She and her husband, Mark, have two sons: Tyler and Lucas. Tracy and Mark have been promoted to grandparents and take great pleasure in spoiling their grandson Daxton. Depending on the season, the Cowan family can be found cheering on Lucas as he plays baseball for West High, enjoying the waves at the beach, fishing so that Mark can grill up some dinner, or catching some sun by the pool. They are active members of Manley Baptist Church.
James Ferrell, Delivery
A good delivery man knows the area and as a Morristown native, James has no problems even if cell service fails to update his maps. When he isn’t delivering for Hardwood Specialties, you can still find James behind the wheel as he drag races! His wife, three kids, dog, and two pet snakes make his home an exciting place. In the fall you will find him cheering for UGA. James gives back to the community as a member of the Morristown Rescue Squad.
